You’ve got critical illness coverage. But is it built for more than one claim?

Most critical illness insurance plans pay once.
But critical illness doesn’t always happen just once.

01.

Financial commitments
don’t stop

After a claim, responsibilities continue.
Your coverage plan should continue supporting you.

02.

One claim may not
be enough

Some conditions may recur or develop further. A single-payout insurance plan may fall short.

03.

Early and advanced stages
both matter

Early critical illness requires early support. Later stages demand stronger financial coverage.

Critical illness is not always a one time event

A critical illness journey can evolve over time. Your insurance coverage should be built for that reality.

Critical illness can impact multiple phases of life. Your insurance coverage should not stop at the first claim.

Most critical illness insurance plans pay once.
This plan is structured for ongoing coverage.

Traditional critical illness insurance often ends after one payout.
This creates a gap if another condition occurs later.

AIA Ultimate Critical Cover (UCC) is a more complete critical illness coverage plan supports multiple claims across early and advanced stages.

Because critical illness is not a single event, your insurance plan should not be limited to one claim.

Meet Robert, a 43 year old father

A simple story on how UCC helped a father beyond the first critical illness claim.

The First Diagnosis

At 43, Robert receives an early stage critical illness diagnosis.
Everything pauses in that moment, and the road ahead suddenly feels uncertain.

Payout and Recovery

Robert receives a payout that helps ease financial pressure during recovery, supporting daily expenses and allowing him to focus on getting better.

Twelve months after his claim, Robert’s coverage resets back to full, restoring his protection, subject to policy terms. That reassurance stays with him as life moves forward.

100% Coverage Reset
Supported Again

Years later, when a major critical illness strikes again, Robert receives another payout. Even in relapse, his protection was designed to continue.

Most insurance plans stop at the first claim. A structured critical illness plan continues coverage.

Frequently asked questions

1. How does the 100% coverage reset work?

Under AIA Ultimate Critical Cover, your coverage can reset back to 100% 12 months from your last critical illness claim, subject to policy terms. This means your full coverage amount may be restored, allowing continued protection beyond the first event.

2. Can I make multiple claims, and is there a limit?

Yes. UCC is designed to support more than one critical illness event over time, including the ability to make multiple claims, subject to policy terms and conditions. In certain structures, claims may accumulate up to 500% of the original coverage amount. A consultant can explain how this works based on your selected coverage.

3. What happens if the same illness returns?

With the Ultimate Relapse Benefit (available under the UCC Enhancer), you may be able to claim again for the same critical illness if a relapse occurs, subject to policy terms and definitions.

4. What illnesses and stages does UCC cover?

AIA Ultimate Critical Cover provides coverage for up to 150 medical conditions across early, intermediate and major stages of critical illness, including major conditions such as cancer, stroke and heart attack, subject to policy definitions and terms. Coverage can also be structured up to age 65, 75 or 85, depending on your preference and suitability.

5. Does UCC provide additional support for more severe scenarios?

Yes. Under the UCC Enhancer, the Catastrophic Critical Illness Benefit may provide an additional payout should a catastrophic critical illness occur, regardless of previous claims, subject to policy terms.

6. Can I claim again even after I have already claimed once?

That is one of the key differentiators of UCC. With features such as coverage reset and relapse support, UCC is designed so that protection does not necessarily stop after the first claim, subject to policy terms.
